Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of peonykoi.com and the related services (the "Service") operated by PeonyKoi ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PeonyKoi generates personalized romantic compatibility readings using a combination of traditional Chinese astrology (BaZi / Four Pillars / Five Elements) and AI-generated narrative. Readings are produced from birth information you supply.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction to use PeonyKoi. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. For Entertainment and Self-Reflection Only

PeonyKoi is intended for entertainment and self-reflection. Readings are based on traditional astrology and AI-generated text and should not be relied upon as professional advice on relationships, mental health, medical, financial, or legal matters. Decisions about your relationships are yours alone.

4. Accounts and Subscriptions

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• The Free tier provides a basic compatibility score and short verdict. Pro ($9.99/month) unlocks the full reading and unlimited generations. Lifetime Blueprint ($49 one-time) provides a permanent PDF report.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the price disclosed at checkout until canceled.
• You may cancel at any time from your account portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, who is responsible for billing, tax collection, and remittance. By purchasing, you also accept Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading birth information about another person without their knowledge or consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise probe the underlying algorithms
• Use automated means (scraping, bots) to access the Service or generate readings in bulk
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute readings as your own product
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harass any individual

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the engine, brand, and visual design, is owned by PeonyKoi. Reading text generated for you is yours to keep and share for personal, non-commercial use. We retain the right to display anonymized aggregate insights drawn from usage data.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if continued provision creates a legal or security risk. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@peonykoi.com.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that readings will be accurate, complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PeonyKoi's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the dispute resolution process described in Lemon Squeezy's Terms.
